Congratulations to the Lake Hamilton Lady Wolves, Class 6A basketball State Champions

The Lady Wolves put in an impressive performance in dominating West Memphis with the score being 59-35. Jessica Weatherford ( Arkansas Tech signee) scored 20 points and pulled down 7 rebounds and was named the class 6A MVP.  Suzanne Fincham also scored 20 points ( 14 in the first half) and pulled 10 rebounds from the board.  Tori Hill scored 13 points, including 3 baskets from the 3 pt. range in the first half.  With Brooke Reynolds and Jasmine Collier sharing playing time, they were able to keep providing the Lady Wolves with fresh defense. The game started with the 5 seniors on the team,  Weatherford, Fincham, Hill, Reynolds, and Kelci Driggers made the most of their last game by giving the school another championship.

Reynolds signs with Central Baptist College.

During the intermission of a double header with Pine Bluff on monday, Brooke Reynolds, fresh off of helping the Lady Wolves of Lake Hamilton win the 6A basketball state championship, signed with the Central Baptist College Lady Mustangs to play softball.  Reynolds is a four year letterman in softball, was instrumental in bringing the Lady Wolves the 2007 6A state championship for softball, and also played on the volleyball team when they won the state championship in 2007.  In announcing the signing at the Lady Wolves softball complex, Coach Amy Teague said that Reynolds is a very popular and multi-sport player.  Central Baptist College is located in Conway, where even though they will not be on the same team, Reynolds and pitcher Kelsie Armstrong (a Central Arkansas signee) will be able to encourage each other.  Since Armstrong arrived from Oklahoma, Lake Hamilton's Lady Wolves have been stronger in the pitching department, and with a full team of talented young ladies, there is no telling how far they can go.

The Lady Wolves won both ends of the double header 11-0 and 7-1.  they are now 4-1 overall and 2-0 in conference.  They will play the Class 6A defending state champion Mountain Home at 9:15 p.m. friday in the Tournement of Champions in Little Rock.
